I read the article titled “Filipino gets 14,400 yers for raping daughter”. In 2006, a Philipino man was charged and convicted of 360 counts of rape on his daughter. This took place in Manila, Philipenes. The man, a motorcycle taxi driver, had two other daughters. His wife went to Hong Kong for work for a year in 2005 and he raped his daughter while she was away.
The man was sentences to 14, 4000 years in prison and I agree because he raped his daughter 360 times. Throughout the year. I chose this article because a 14, 4000 year sentence sounds super interesting. This upsets me because it’s a man abusing his daughter countless times and no one knew about it.
This is a national issue because it just shows how many people can get away with stuff, without anyone finding out and stopping it. I think this could happen in Canada as well. The only reason why the police found out was because the daughter broke down about it and told the family after a family vacation. It was the wife who reported this case to the police.
After reading this article I feel that all men are selfish, self-centered. It is my hope that police will find these men a lot faster someday.
I read the article about teens and texting where it says that teen’s text more then 3,339 times a month that’s more then 6 texts per walking hour. A new study from Nielsen says that the number of texts in teens is still growing, And what’s more is that females send texts an average of 4,050 a month while males text just an average of 2,539 a month and the average 18 to 24 year olds text just a simple 1,630 a month.
I agree with this because my brother texts all most 24-7, at any time of the day he is texting away and it sometimes annoys me because he will be playing a game on our ps3 and he will stop the entire game just to text. I feel this disrupts family time which there isn’t much of these days.
I feel this can be dangerous for teens because they can be texting while driving. They feel that they can do it becauser they have done it so many times, it distracts from the road. In my opinion, it distracts more than phoning someone does.
I still wonder why we have cars to visit other people since we are texting so much?
On a global scale texting allows communication. Teacher Feedback: Kyle, please ensure you are covering the who, what, when, WHERE, and why? Is this study a Canadian study? Good work.
